Robin Brown, Environics’ Senior Vice President of Consumer Insights and Cultural Markets, is a living embodiment of Migration Nation. He has over twenty years of experience in research agencies based in the UK, Asia and Canada providing marketing research and consultancy to some of the world’s leading companies. He moved to Canada in 2003 after spending ten years working in Asia, providing consumer insights to guide both local and multinational companies on marketing strategies. Although he is a native of the UK, throughout his life he has lived in five different countries and worked in many more. Along the way he has developed a unique “Third Culture” perspective.


Kathy Cheng, Environics’ Vice President of Cultural Markets, is a leading researcher in Canada's multicultural and newcomer markets. She has 16 years of global marketing research and consultancy experience, working with ACNielsen and Ipsos Reid prior to joining Environics. Kathy has helped clients in the financial services, consumer packaged goods, telecommunications, retail, media, and nonprofit sectors understand Canada's rapidly changing multicultural markets. In 2001, Kathy moved to Canada from Shanghai. While based in China, she travelled extensively, conducting qualitative research to help multinational companies understand the Chinese context and grow their presence in that dynamic emerging market.
